Rick and Morty Birdperson Figure

Birdperson (voiced by show co-creator Dan Harmon) is one of Rick's oldest friends. They've been in fights together, been on the rocks together, and even been in a band together! Wise beyond his bird years, he offers advice in a monotone third person to anyone who will listen... and many who won't.

Rick's famous phrase "wubba lubba dub dub" turns out to come from Birdperson's native language, where it means "I'm in a lot of pain, please help me." Unfortunately, Birdperson met a tragic (albeit temporary) end after he began dating Summer's girlfriend Tammy at Rick's house party. The two fell in love and married, but during the wedding, Tammy revealed that she had been an agent of the Galactic Federation all along. She shot Birdperson dead, along with many intergalactic criminals at the party. A real screw-up.
